Twitter, saving the world from Valentine’s Day memes since 2021, apparently.  Twitter slapped a warning label on a Valentine’s Day meme from Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita (R) due to a “risk of violence.”  The meme in question said, “You stole my heart like a 2020 election. Happy Valentine's Day,” and included an image of former President Donald Trump. Twitter applied a warning label that said, “This claim of election fraud is disputed, and this tweet can’t be replied to, Retweeted, or liked due to a risk of violence.” Users cannot like, retweet or comment on Rokita’s tweet, but quote tweeting is still allowed.  Twitter has attempted to maintain the illusion that it takes security on its platform seriously. The platform permanently suspended Trump following the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol building. Twitter chief financial officer Ned Segal has confirmed that even if Trump runs for office again, he will not be allowed back on the platform. Twitter also bragged that it labeled 300,000 tweets during the 2020 election cycle. Meanwhile, Twitter is facing a lawsuit that alleged that the platform may have allowed child pornography to circulate. The platform clearly has little issue leaving blatant Chinese propaganda and tweets from Iran’s Ayatollah calling for “firm, armed resistance” against the Jewish people. Perhaps Twitter was so enamored with censoring Trump 625 times that it did not have time to take care of matters like child exploitation and a call for genocide.  Conservatives are under attack.
