Cartoon Network Encourages Kids to Look at People Based on Race

Posted on 18 February 2021

Good news! Cartoon Network has erased racism with it’s new message: see people for the color of their skin instead of the content of their character.  On Feb. 16 Cartoon Network tweeted its new anti-racism video which ended up being more racist than anti-racist. The “See Color” PSA encouraged viewers to look at people’s skin color in order to eliminate race all together. And yes, you read that correctly.  According to Variety “See Color” “is part of a four-part series developed by ‘Steven Universe’ creator Rebecca Sugar and 'OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes’ creator Ian Jones-Quartey to provide kids and families with productive ways to disrupt common narratives about racism.” Oh God please don’t tell us there's going to be another one of these.  The video is a PSA of a PSA and starts out on a video set with a purple alien and two kids singing a song with lyrics:  Color blindness is our game Because everyone’s the same Everybody join our circle Doesn’t matter if you’re White! Or Black! Or purple? This causes the trio to have a chat about racism and what role a purple alien plays into the mix. The white child says “I think people like the ‘Black, White or purple thing’ because adding a fantasy race in there helps distract from the actual racism black people have to deal with.” “Right” the black character replies, “my experience with anti-Black racism is really specific. Other people of color experience other forms of racism too. But you won't see any of that if you ‘don’t see color.’”  And then the purple alien asks for the producers of the PSA to scratch the idea altogether. “Dude, so this entire public service announcement could be a ploy to avoid talking about racism all together. Hey, can we get a rewrite where we appreciate each other without erasing what makes each of us different?” Too bad the actual producers didn’t listen to the alien and delete the cartoon of this cheap race propaganda. It’s gross that CN is putting out this “anti-racist” parody and encouraging kids to look at people based on the color of their skin. Did CN completely forget what Martin Luther King Jr. fought so hard for in his “I have a dream” speech? “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” So … CN wants kids to look at others by “what makes each of us different” (AKA skin color) and not by the content of their character. Hmm. CN is looking for a pat on the back for making a stance on racism and this isn’t even the first time they’ve tried … and failed. Back on Dec. 3 they tweeted part 2 of the series. This one featured a teacher who explained that Thomas Edison didn’t deserve all the credit for the creation of the lightbulb since black inventor Lewis Latimer invented the filament inside the bulb. CN wanted viewers to see that there’s a white supremacist conspiracy that aims to discredit black people in history. They’re 0 for 3 on these videos. Let’s just hope they cut the final video of the 4 part series.  CN has been trying to be woke for a while. Back in Dec. again, CN tweeted a series of educational tweets to enlighten youngsters on the need to normalize gender pronouns. Who else misses the classic cartoons instead of this marxist crap?  Children are not mini-adults. A seven-year old is not going to be able to grasp the message that CN was trying to give off … this video is just putting the idea of racism into their heads. It’s counterintuitive.  Parents, make sure you tell your kids to treat people differently based on the color of their skin. Or just turn on Cartoon Network and they’ll brainwash your impressionable kids for you.
