California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) announced a new, strict regional Covid lockdown order for Southern California that took effect on Sunday.

Newsom targeted conservative SoCal with the strictest lockdown yet in addition to a 10PM – 5 AM curfew.

The new lockdown order closes virtually all indoor businesses, save for approved big box storefronts.

Newsom imposed the new order because SoCal hit the “15% or lower threshold for ICU capacity.”

We missed the part of the Constitution that allows government officials to put citizens under house arrest based on emergency room capacity.

Two SoCal Sheriffs are standing up to Gavin Newsom’s tyranny and announced they will not enforce the new stay-at-home order.

Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes said, “Compliance with health orders is a matter of personal responsibility and not a matter of law enforcement. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will remain consistent in our approach. Orange County Sheriff’s deputies will not be dispatched to, or respond to, calls for service to enforce compliance with face coverings, social gatherings, or stay-at-home only.”

Barnes continued, “To put the onus of law enforcement to enforce these orders against law-abiding citizens who are already struggling through difficult circumstances, while at the same time criticizing law enforcement and taking away tools to do our jobs, is both contradictory and disingenuous.”

Riverside County Sheriff chad Bianco said in a Friday video message that he will not participate in enforcement of unilateral Covid fiats from Governor Newsom.

Sheriff Bianco blasted Newsom and said he will not be bullied of blackmailed after the governor threatened to withhold money and resources from counties that do not enforce his Covid orders.

Bianco called Newsom a hypocrite for dining in fancy restaurants, keeping his winery open and sending his children to in-person private schools while destroying other businesses and closing public schools.
