Twitter finally took down a post from The Lincoln Project and reportedly restricted the organization’s account after it had initially allowed the posts to remain viewable. You know President Donald Trump haters such as NeverTrump organization The Lincoln Project have gone too far when even Twitter restricts them. The Lincoln Project was punished for tweeting “the work phone numbers, email addresses, and photos of Ronald Hicks and Carolyn McGreeand to its 2.7 million followers” and urging its supporters to "Make them famous,” Business Insider reported Nov. 11. The tweet sharing the contact information has since been removed, but Business Insider reportedly has an archived copy. "The Tweet referenced is in violation of the Twitter Rules on abusive behavior," a Twitter spokesperson explained to Fox News. "The account owner will be required to delete the violative Tweet before regaining access to their account." The Lincoln Project indeed was later “locked out of Twitter on Tuesday after sharing the contact details of the lawyers working on President Donald Trump's election challenges,” Business Insider recounted. The Lincoln Project’s rule violating tweet has since been deleted because it “violated the Twitter Rules,” but after being allowed to remain online long enough to have at least 5.6k retweets and 9.4k likes (according to a screenshot), The Lincoln Project’s harassment campaign against Trump allied attorneys Ronald Hicks and Carolyn McGee had already been well underway. A following post urged supporters to “Defend your democracy” by taking 3 steps to harass The Lincoln Project’s enemies: “1. Created a LinkedIn account. “2. Message someone who works at @JonesDay or @PorterWright. “3. Ask them how they can work for an organization trying to overturn the will of the American people.” The Lincoln Project followed up by urging followers to “Reply with screenshots of your messages,” and has retweeted some of them. The Lincoln Project also called its attack dog fans to harass GSA Administrator Emily W. Murphy, claiming: “She’s a Trump appointee at the GSA who is declining to sign the letter authorizing the Biden transition to begin.” Lincoln Project demanded: “Give her a call and tell her you want Biden treated like every other president-elect.”  Twitter has cracked down deservedly on The Lincoln Project’s repulsive tactics before. The Lincoln Project was previously fact-checked by Twitter for sharing a clip of Trump’s Independence Day speech, which was taken completely out of context. The video, which Twitter claimed had been “edited in a way that makes it appear as though the president says Operation Desert Storm took place in Vietnam,” was tweeted by The Lincoln Project. The group had tweeted it with the caption, “What’s wrong with the President?” The video, which has since been deleted, was labelled with a “Manipulated media” interstitial, or filter, that linked to a Twitter “Events” page. The Events page was titled “Donald Trump did not say Operation Desert Storm took place in Vietnam, Snopes and CNN reporters confirm.” The Lincoln Project was funded in part by Walmart heiress and billionaire Christy Walton who contributed $20,000 to the group in January. One of its members, GOP strategist Rick Wilson has infamously shown his hatred for rural white Americans who support Trump last January. In the infamous exchange, Wilson referred to Trump voters as “the credulous boomer rube demo.” He has used similar language in other interviews such as when he made critiques that “The wall has always been a con for Donald Trump’s credulous rube ten-toothed base.” Conservatives are under attack.
