We’ll Keep ‘Plotting and Protesting’: Hollywood Promises Revenge For Breonna Taylor Case

Posted on 24 September 2020

The radical, anti-American left didn’t get the indictments they wanted in the case of the death of Breonna Taylor, and make no mistake, they are demanding street justice. Hollywood celebrities like A-list actor George Clooney, director Ava DuVernay and others weighed in on Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s (R-KY) decision not to slap any of the officers involved in Taylor’s death with a murder charge. If you’ve been listening to Hollywood’s Black Lives Matter-inspired framing of the situation, Breonna, an innocent black woman, was shot in cold blood by three white police officers while she was sleeping.  But, like every law enforcement case BLM uses as an excuse to fuel its violent Marxist mayhem, Taylor’s death is much more complicated than a race-motivated murder committed by racist cops. According to the evidence, police executed a  lawful search warrant against a residence heavily suspected of being a drug trafficking location. During the search, Taylor’s boyfriend fired on police officers, who then returned fire.  Several of the officer’s bullets struck Taylor by accident, and tragic as that might be, the Kentucky AG ruled out homicide charges for the officers involved. One officer, Detective Hankison was charged with three counts of “wanton endangerment.”   Still, BLM activists and celebrities on Twitter have been adamant that Taylor’s death was murder by racist cops, and this narrative has led to riots in Louisville and the shooting of two police officers on September 23. George Clooney contributed to this dangerous narrative, implying that the Louisville court system was covering for its racist law enforcement officers. In a statement given to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oceans 11 actor stated, “The justice system I was raised to believe in holds people responsible for their actions. Her name was Breonna Taylor and she was shot to death in her bed by 3 white police officers, who will not be charged with any crime for her death." A Wrinkle in Time director Ava DuVernay got very radical in her assessment of the court ruling, which she gave to THR as well.  She told the outlet that the criminal justice system, made up of “crooks with titles and criminals with badges,” refused justice for Taylor. Though she affirmed that "justice will come. And it will come from us. Pushing and pulling, plotting and protesting, piercing the blue walls designed to terrorize us.” Sounds like she’s endorsing the violence in the streets.  Drake and Josh actress Yvette Nicole Brown shared a tweet from some user who wrote that “cops literally murdered a woman in her sleep … then tried to blame the boyfriend.” Brown, a useful idiot who clearly refused to look into any details about the case, captioned the tweet with, “Yep. This.” as if that summed it up. Jack Ryan actor Wendell Pierce tweeted that America has “never valued the lives of Black folks and rationalize our murder. Once safely dead you feign to care for those you kill. America will end as it lifts up the worst in us.”  This media gaslighting about Taylor’s case is truly sickening considering with the violence it has contributed to on the streets. It’s been so reckless that even the Kentucky AG had to rebuke “celebrities” and “influencers” who have weighed in.  He stated in a press conference after the judge’s ruling, “there will be celebrities, influencers and activists who have never lived in Kentucky who try to tell us how to feel, suggesting they understand the facts of this case, and that they know our community and the commonwealth better than we do.” He added, “But they do not.” Perhaps Hollywood should be held accountable for the damage to property and lives of innocent Americans.
