TULSI GABBARD Considers Boycotting Democrat Debate to Protest DNC’s Attempt to Rig the Primary

Posted on 10 October 2019

Democrat presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is “seriously considering” boycotting the October debate to protest the Democratic National Committee’s attempt to rig the 2020 primary.

Gabbard said in a video statement that this time, instead of rigging the primary against Bernie Sanders, they are rigging it against voters in early voting states. She also blasted her own party for their shenanigans against Sanders in 2016.

In a statement accompanying the video, Rep. Gabbard said that the “DNC and corporate media are trying to hijack the entire election process.”

“The 2016 Democratic Primary election was rigged by the DNC and their partners in the corporate media against Bernie Sanders,” Gabbard’s statement said. “In this 2020 election, the DNC and corporate media are rigging the election again, but this time against the American people in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.”

“They are attempting to replace the roles of voters in the early states, using polling and other arbitrary methods which are not transparent or democratic, and holding so-called debates which are not debates at all but rather commercialized reality television meant to entertain, not inform or enlighten,” the statement continued. “In short, the DNC and corporate media are trying to hijack the entire election process.”

Gabbard added that in order to bring attention to their corruption, which she believes in a serious threat to our democracy, she is “giving serious consideration to boycotting the next debate on October 15th.” She said that she will be announcing her decision in the next few days.

This isn’t the first time Gabbard has put the DNC on blast over corruption. In 2016, she resigned from her position in the DNC and released a video blasting the party for rigging the primary for Hillary Clinton.

At the time, she also launched a petition “demanding the DNC establish accountability measures in their decision-making processes, eliminate undemocratic superdelegates, and ensure open or same-day registration primaries to ensure we return to a party structure that serves the people.”

Rep. Gabbard has received wide support from people of all political affiliations due to her strong anti-interventionist foreign policy positions, stance against Big Tech censorship, and promise to pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
