Nigel Farage Tour Bus Threatened By Three Protesters With Milkshakes, According to his Bus Driver

Posted on 22 May 2019

Update: People present at the event maintain there was never a threat. They claim that the people were drinking their chilled beverages and did not intend to throw them.

After having a milkshake thrown at him by an unhinged protester earlier this week, Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party campaign tour bus was threatened by people armed with them once again — according to his bus driver.

Assaulting right-wing figures with milkshakes has become a trend, as it has been encouraged and celebrated by the mainstream media.

Farage’s driver Michael Botton told Kent Live that there were concerns about three people with milkshakes during his stop in Dartford on Wednesday.

“There are a couple of guys standing over there with milkshakes, they were going to throw them over him,” Botton said. “But the police are there, we’ve spotted them and now Nigel isn’t getting off the bus.”

Farage’s campaign notes that he did in fact get off the bus and speak to supporters.

The Brexit Party leader was hit with a milkshake while on the election trail in Newcastle on Monday. Independent European Parliament candidate Tommy Robinson and Ukip candidate Carl Benjamin have also both been assaulted with milkshakes.

An attack on Farage was promoted by Burger King on Twitter over the weekend. After McDonald’s in the area of Farage’s visit to Scotland stopped selling milkshakes while he was there at the request of police, the rival burger chain posted that they will continue selling them and urged their followers to “have fun” with them. The company’s social media account ‘liked’ multiple tweets referring to them as Antifa and thanking them for promoting the attacks.

“Dear people of Scotland. We’re selling milkshakes all weekend. Have fun. Love BK #justsaying,” the Burger King UK account tweeted.
