Mexico Offers Migrant Caravan Jobs, Asylum and Medical Care — They REFUSE

Posted on 28 October 2018

The migrant caravan that is making it’s way to the southern border of the United States has been offered “shelter, medical attention, schooling and jobs” if they remain in the southern Mexico states of Chiapas or Oaxaca — but they have refused the generous offer.

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto announced he would be launching a program called “You are home,” on Friday — which would allow the Central Americans to remain in mexico and recieve everything they need.

Over 100 Mexian federal officers had temporarily halted the caravan to let them know of the offer, but allowed the swarm of roughly 7,000 people to continue heading to the US on Saturday when they declined.

The caravan is currently halted approximately 1,000 miles from the US border, however, as they search for a missing child that they believe may have been kidnapped.

“Late Saturday night, groups of migrants were running through the town’s streets saying a migrant’s child had been snatched. Something similar led to a panic at an earlier stop, but was not confirmed,” NBC News reports.

According to a report from NBC News, many of the migrants have been hitchhiking to make the journey, and when trucks stop to pick them up the young men sprint and hop on — leaving women and children behind.

President Trump has taken a hard stance against allowing the caravan into the United States, urging them to turn back. He is expected to announce his plan to handle the pending invasion during a speech on Monday. One option he is said to be considering is a partial shutdown of the asylum process at our southern border.

Trump has additionally ordered at least 800 additional military troops to the border, joining roughly 2,100 National Guard troops already deployed there.
