MSNBC Suggests Trump Had a ‘Larger Plan’ to Ensure Supreme Court Vacancy

<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in">During Friday’s edition of <em>Deadline: White House, </em>host Nicolle Wallace and her panel implied that President Trump actually worked behind the scenes to force Justice Anthony Kennedy to retire. Wallace opened the segment by playing a clip of Trump praising Kennedy at the swearing-in ceremony of Justice Gorsuch, one of Kennedy’s former law clerks. She then tried to explain the praise, saying “That may have been part of a larger plan. <em>The New York Times</em> reporting today ‘in subtle and not so subtle ways, the White House waged a quiet campaign to ensure that Mr. Trump had a second opportunity in his administration’s first 18 months to fulfill one of his most important campaign promises to his conservative followers - that he would change the complexion and direction of the Supreme Court.’” Apparently, the geniuses at <em>The New York Times </em>did not remember that two of their favorite Presidents, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, also appointed justices to the Supreme Court in their first two years in office.</p>
