After Repeatedly Denying It, Twitter OFFICIALLY Admits to Shadowbanning Users

Posted on 15 May 2018

After repeatedly denying it, Twitter officially admitted to shadowbanning users on Tuesday, however; they didn’t elaborate in detail.

Twitter has repeatedly denied they shadowban users. They even denied this practice during Senate hearings.

Project Veritas previously caught many Twitter engineers and employees on camera admitting the social media giant shadowbans Trump supporters:

Steven Pierre, Twitter engineer explains “shadow banning,” says “it’s going to ban a way of talking”

Former Twitter software engineer Abhinav Vadrevu on shadow banning: “they just think that no one is engaging with their content, when in reality, no one is seeing it”

Former Twitter Content Review Agent Mo Norai explains banning process: “if it was a pro-Trump thing and I’m anti-Trump… I banned his whole account… it’s at your discretion”

When asked if banning process was an unwritten rule, Norai adds “Very. A lot of unwritten rules… It was never written it was more said”

Olinda Hassan, Policy Manager for Twitter Trust and Safety explains, “we’re trying to ‘down rank’… shitty people to not show up,” “we’re working [that] on right now”

“Shadow banning” to be used to stealthily target political views- former Twitter engineer says, “that’s a thing”

Censorship of certain political viewpoints to be automated via “machine learning” according to Twitter software engineer

Parnay Singh, Twitter Direct Messaging Engineer, on machine learning algorithms, “you have like five thousand keywords to describe a redneck…” “the majority of it are for Republicans”

Twitter once again avoided transparency and used vague language when describing how they would deem tweets to be ‘abusive.’

In an Orwellian blog post, Twitter says they have a new approach to hiding content from “tolls” and “troll-like behavior that distort and detract from the public conversation on Twitter.”

Twitter admits the “toll-like behavior” doesn’t violate their terms of service, however; they will still be hiding the content because they don’t want anything on the platform that can “distort conversation” which of course means they don’t want conservative content to be viewed:

To put this in context, less than 1% of accounts make up the majority of accounts reported for abuse, but a lot of what’s reported does not violate our rules. While still a small overall number, these accounts have a disproportionately large – and negative – impact on people’s experience on Twitter. The challenge for us has been: how can we proactively address these disruptive behaviors that do not violate our policies but negatively impact the health of the conversation?

Twitter will be watching everyone (Trump supporters) closely and will be monitoring who users interact with:

There are many new signals we’re taking in, most of which are not visible externally. Just a few examples include if an account has not confirmed their email address, if the same person signs up for multiple accounts simultaneously, accounts that repeatedly Tweet and mention accounts that don’t follow them, or behavior that might indicate a coordinated attack. We’re also looking at how accounts are connected to those that violate our rules and how they interact with each other.

These signals will now be considered in how we organize and present content in communal areas like conversation and search. Because this content doesn’t violate our policies, it will remain on Twitter, and will be available if you click on “Show more replies” or choose to see everything in your search setting. The result is that people contributing to the healthy conversation will be more visible in conversations and search.

Who determines what ‘healthy conversations’ are? Your tech overlords at Twitter headquarters.

This is just another attempt by Twitter to censor Trump supporters in time for the 2018 elections.

Americans flocked to alternative media and social media in 2015-2016 to get real news after being fed up with the constant lies from mainstream media.

Twitter and Facebook learned their lesson after the 2016 election; they will never again allow the free flow of information on their platforms which is what led to Trump’s victory.

And Congress continues to stand idly by as tech giants snuff out conservatives and Christians.
