House Judiciary Chair Bob Goodlatte Subpoenas DOJ For Hillary Email Docs

Posted on 22 March 2018

House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) sent a subpoena to the Justice Department Thursday evening requesting documents related to Hillary Clinton’s private server and email investigation.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein must appear before the House Judiciary Committee April 5th.

Bob Goodlatte requested these documents four months ago and only received a fraction of the documents.

“To this date, the Department has only produced a fraction of the documents that have been requested,” Goodlatte said in a letter addressed to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.

“Given the Department’s ongoing delays in producing these documents, I am left with no choice but to issue enclosed subpoena to compel production of these documents,” Goodlatte continued in his letter.

Goodlatte’s letter also addressed McCabe’s firing adding, “Accordingly, the subpoena covers all documents and communications relied upon by FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility in reaching its decision to recommend the dismissal of former Deputy Director McCabe.”

In addition to documents relating to Hillary’s email investigation, the subpoena also seeks documents pertaining to FISA abuses.
